newer to the forum. I had this issue last week, truck started rough for a few days, then one day it wouldnt start after 9-10 tries, it cranks just doesnt start. a mechanic at my shop is a "ford guy" and said the same thing happened in his. we looked at my FPDM and sure enough it was corroded to hell. had a replacement the next day put it in, and boom it started right up...HOWEVER
my truck just sat for 3 days and i couldnt get it to start this morning (2008 f150 4x4)..i ordered a dorman one off amazon (got the current new one thru napa) and will try replacing the replacement...

but for today when i get home will look at:

checking harness connection
unplug battery to reset?
check fuel pump shutoff switch?
check fuses (read 9 and 12 have both been discovered blown)??

what else would have happened where my truck still wont start very annoyed

as a follow-up...I get home and the truck starts...its almost like it doesn't like the AM...maybe something to do with moisture/humidity affecting something?

no error codes are being thrown...lets hope it starts tomorrow

If it starts tomorrow you will only be confused as to what may be the final answer...
You need to be persistent about finding a code that will lead to the issue.
There are many possibilities - the code will help with the proper direction..

Luck be with you.

It happened a few times before I parked it inline with the other vehicles. I thought maybe I because I didn't turn the ignition off before for starting the motor after I set the Edge tuner to stock might of been the issue. After I had the plugs changed it seemed to run ok on the way home. I didn't drive it for about 48 hours, I was busy installing a Iron Cross Rear bumper on my truck, and it took me a few days to do it alone. Anyway today I finished the bumper and set the Edge Tuner to #2 tow setting in the Edge menu. Fired up the motor and drove about 6 miles to and from the store. When I got back home and slowed down to back in to my driveway it died. I restarted it and got it parked. Could the Fuel module possible be the problem? I would rather purchase a new one than by a new EDGE tuner. The truck starts up just fine, but has a low idle. I'm going to set the Edge back to stock tomorrow, and see how it runs, I'm also going to crawl under the truck and check out the module.
RHorton did you ever solve this issue? I am having the same problem. It'll drive fine for miles, stop at lights fine and drives fine but when I slow down to park in front of my house or park it dies.

I paid $57 on Amazon, had it in 2 days.

I read this thread after I bought my '08 two years ago. After trying to figure out a very intermittent rough idle I finally changed my FPDM a couple months ago. Intermittent rough idle is gone and my old FPDM looked like everyone else's, corroded through.

Ford just issued a large recall for similar faulty fuel pump control modules in a few newer models. From what I read the are recalling around 88k, 2013-15 Ford Taurus, Ford Flex, Lincoln MKS, Lincoln MKT and Police Interceptor sedans. From what I read they don't mention our trucks but it looks like they didn't learn there lesson either.
