The symptoms will be either no or sporadic fuel pressure.
Drop your spare tire and take a look. If the FPDM body is cracked or crumbling - may be the problem.

Just changed mine, was pretty bad, quarter size hole in the back of it. Not as bad as Robert's above, but could easily have gone out and if it did I would of had no idea that this would have been an issue. Awesome thread thanks!

I switched my Mom's about a year ago on her '08. Bought the Doorman branded one from O'Reillys, it's a dead ringer to the OEM that came off the truck but for one key change - comes with rubber standoffs & longer bolts to prevent this in the future. The aluminum casting was also powder coated. Been fine ever since.

Off my 2004 Ford F150. Most definitely the reason why I was losing power, and dying in the carwash.

Default Did mine yesterday.

Looked kind of like some of the other ones in this thread. Hadn't noticed any issues yet, but an easy preventative measure. It was cracked and partially bent from the factory install the way it looked. Just remember to take the little plastic spacer pin holder gizmo out of the new one.

I had my plugs changed yesterday, and before dropping my truck off at the Ford service department at my local Ford dealer I put my Edge tuner back to the stock mode. When I arrive at the dealership, when slowed down to turn in it died. I started it back up and it acted like it was starving for fuel. It happened a few times before I parked it inline with the other vehicles.

I thought maybe I because I didn't turn the ignition off before for starting the motor after I set the Edge tuner to stock might of been the issue. After I had the plugs changed it seemed to run ok on the way home. I didn't drive it for about 48 hours, I was busy installing a Iron Cross Rear bumper on my truck, and it took me a few days to do it alone.

Anyway today I finished the bumper and set the Edge Tuner to #2 tow setting in the Edge menu. Fired up the motor and drove about 6 miles to and from the store. When I got back home and slowed down to back in to my driveway it died. I restarted it and got it parked.

Could the Fuel module possible be the problem? I would rather purchase a new one than by a new EDGE tuner. The truck starts up just fine, but has a low idle. I'm going to set the Edge back to stock tomorrow, and see how it runs, I'm also going to crawl under the truck and check out the module.
