Fuel problem?
I have a 2006 XLT 5.4L . I filled up my tank to full from 1/4. I drove about 50 miles then I noticed a small spudder that would only occur occasionally. I made it to my destination which was about 5 miles further. I was there for an hour or so then I went to start the truck and it seemed locked up like a vapor lock. I tried a couple more times and it started but was running extremely ruff. I drove about 2 miles then I loss power when I push the gas it was not wanting to go ( Its not the transmission) . If i feathered the gas it would slowly get up to speed but wouldn't go past 55-60. Some white smoke came out of the exhaust and a strong gas smell from exhaust. I shut it off thinking it was bad gas. I also had a blinking engine light. I put a bottle of seafoam in the gas tank and limped it to the autoparts store. They read the code and it had 11 codes. Multiple miss fires in multiple cylinders. Oxygen sensor, running rich or lean ( I don't remember which). It also made a loud knocking noise but no water in oil and all gauges were reading good. I pulled the intake and noticed a lot fuel sitting on top of the valves on the back right cylinder. Can someone help me diagnose this problem.

Mine did the same thing back in 2012 and I was able to drive it to ford where they said my engine had hydrolocked. Don't keep using seafoam. Mine had the knock as well so I ended up getting a new long block for $5500 and that was for everything. Good lock

I bought the truck about a 1 1/2 year ago. The guy had it garaged kept and had the dealer do all the regular scheduled maintenance. I believe it was done about 2 months before I bought it. Yes the code reader said multiple misfires along with oxygen sensor and running lean.

Do you have the records? No way to really know without those or just pulling the plugs out. Lots of shady folks out there will tell you they did maintenance and not prove it...
