Default Fuel Mileage

I took a 550 mile trip yesterday and figured my fuel mileage. Without the programmer I averaged 21.5 on the highway. I averaged 22.5 this time with the programmer. I understand this is one time, but due to the length of the trip I feel its a good judge. Part of the trip was in town, so it was not all hiway. I have not taken a straight trip too see what JUST highway will be.

1 - 2 MPH under the speed limit. Most of the time the speed limit was 65.

Bigger tires should help your highway MPG.

The best I got before the tuner was 21.5. That was REALLY babying it.On this trip I didn't baby it so much but did drive the speed limit...That was HARD to do.

So is this impressive MPG, is the tuner have a large part in helping with that? If so then man, it may be well worth it to get one. I'm not sure what exactly the tuners (Edge??) do but what else can they do other than improve gas mileage?
