Fuel Injection Cleaning, how often? How easy?
Hey folks.
I took my truck today to get the emissions/safety inspectin renewed.
I was offered by the tech to do a full "fuel injector system" cleaning.
Naturally, I turned it down because it was over $150.
I was searching and found that full cleaning restores performance to the engines peak.
My question is: how easy or hard is it to clean the injectors? Is there a kit I should buy? How often should I do it?
I've always changed the fuel filter twice a year, and dumped a bottle of sea foam every 2 oil changes. I've never done a full cleaning though.

Use a bottle of Redline, Techron, or Gumout (make sure you get Gumout with Regane) and buy your gas from BP or Shell only. That'll take care of it. No need to **** out $150 on a $10 treatment.
