Question Fuel Gauge Problems?

Hello everyone. I am new to this site and I was just wondering if anyone knows if Ford has had any problems with their fuel gauges? I am not sure the cause, but recently I have noticed that after I fill up our 2005 Ford F150, the gauge takes a really long time to read full. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Are you guys fueling up while the truck is still running? computer needs a few minutes to compensate and adjust for fuel mileage next time shut it off while fueling and see if it helps

Listen to what Screw said. Key has to be off, computor resets and good to go. The gauge recognizes gradual changes in fuel level. It can't react quick enough during filling with the key on.

My 05 just did this today. Apparently i almost ran out of gas and it still read 1/4 tank. After filling up with the engine off, keys clipped to my pants, the gauge still read 1/4 tank after 30 minutes of driving. I cycled the key many times and it still has issues.
