Fuel Gauge
The other day I filled up my truck, gauge read 1/4 tank on a 22 gal tank (acording to the dealer), I put 21 gal in it. It then took the gauge almost 2 hrs to read the new fuel level. So I didn't think to much of it until today when I filled up again at about 1/4 tank, took 18 gal (what I'm used to) but again took almost 2 hrs for the gauge to read it. So I stoped by the dealer on my way home from work and they tell me that is normal. He said, and I quote " there is a slosh sensor that compensates for the fuel moving around in the tank so if the truck is moving around it takes longer for the gauge to read acurately" Now to me it seem that if the truck is off and key in pocket while fueling when I put the key in and start it the gauge should read full.
I am glad I have a warranty because lately it seems that I am having a lot of little issues with my truck!!! GETTING ANNOYED

My gauge has done this twice in 35,000 miles. Are you running E-85 or other ethanol blend? Both times it happened to mine was when it was actually economical to run E-85, my thinking is that it gums up the float just enough to make it stick.
The first time it happened I had just filled up for a road trip, didn't look at the gauge when I left and then about 50 miles down the road I looked down and I was at 1/4 tank. I pulled over fearing that I had punctured my tank, so I wiggled the truck and could hear that the tank was still full. I restarted the truck and the gauge went to full. Bout the same for the second time.

Using the same gas station that i always use and same grade fuel so unless they switched fuel I wouldn't think there would be a problem. I have put 35000 miles worth of fuel in it and never a problem till now.
