Default fuel gauge

I have a 07 F150 and after filling up with gas I noticed the gas gauge wasnt reading full, after driving down the road a few miles it very slowly started to move has anyone else had this problem and what could it be.

Mine does the same thing. I'm pretty sure that's normal.
I've noticed mine also doesn't show how much has I use until the next time I turn my truck on or if I go on a long drive I can notice it move down.

is the key on when your filling? If the cluster is staying alive when you fill then the gauge will be slow to respond. It's a strategy to keep fuel gauge stable when fuel is sloshing in tank.

The key is off. This is the first time it has done this.It usually goes over to full really fast after you turn the key on.

It's happened to my 08. Pretty common among the f150s.
