After readin this thread and seeing the pics I just picked up a new filter have 150k on the original filter lol wayyy over due lol

Haha good idea. Btw just a thought for the thread, I don't think my brother used any special tool to change mine.

Glad I changed it what came out was just nasty an there is a tool to disconnect the lines looks like this

Gross haha yeah Ik the tool is out there, I swear my bro just had plyers though haha. I noticed a difference in my truck the new filter, still shuddered but not as bad. The new plugs took the shudder away completely though.

Plugs are next but I have a 5.4 so should be awesome :$

Lol..I lucked out, my 4.2 was amazingly simple. Hope they come out good for you.

I hate to but I'm most likely going to pay someone else to do it... I would rather do my own work but I can get it done for a locked in price no matter how many break so I'll probably go that route. I have a 2000 f150 with a 4.2 and it's a great motor. Tough as nails! Come to think of it that truck had one of the toughest trannys I've ever seen!
