Now I find out ford used two sizes for the fuel line. I picked up a new filter and pulled the old off. old one is 5/16. new filter is 3/8. #%&^###. went back and the parts jocky checked his putor. The filter he gave me matched the number on his screen but my truck needs the 5/16.????

Ive had that problem with an oil filter from a parts place once, made them deliver me the right filter to my house. One of the many reasons I don't do business with advance auto parts anymore

IIRC....letting them know the build date helps them distinguish which model filter you need.

Fuel filter with 97k? YIKES! Good lord, that is some awful looking gasoline, looks like dirty motor oil.
