Default fuel and or exhaust smell

I just recently changed the spark plugs in my 2007 F-150 5.4L. When I turn on the HEAT only and let it sit I get a very strong fuel/exhaust smell inside the cab. If I turn on the A/C it does not smell the cab. I can not smell it on the outside of the truck or find any kind of fuel leak around the injectors. Could it be I need to go back and actually torque the spark plugs down to the recommended torque? Both bank 1 and 2 sensor 2 02 sensors went out and replaced them same time I done the plugs....Truck is NOT throwing any kind of code.

If you didn't torque them at all...stop...and do that now. If you did...double check them all...and as Martian said...add a few

With a 1/2 drive ratchet I just got them tight until I felt I may snap them I stopped.

I torqued the plugs to 33ft lbs then went a little more but the smell remains to come through the vents when I am stopped. I can NOT smell it outside of the truck.

There are zero codes coming up on the hand held scanner..... I figure if injector is leaking I would smell it outside over top of the engine but I have had several people check to make sure I was not going crazy.

Check the evap line that goes from the schrader valve on the firewall to the intake. It routes behind the throttle body and has a tendency to rot out.

The line appears to be in decent shape.... tonight i got a very small hint of fuel when letting the truck idle an being over top of the engine..... but no wetness around injectors....
