Front wheel scraping noise
#12
Yep im pretty sure it was the bearing in the hub,its been 4 days now and I havent heard it yet.Its funny that I didnt hear the bearing grinding noise, the only thing I heard was the scraping sound the rotor was making when it was hitting the caliber mount.Only did it on sharp left turns which was making the rotor rub due to the bearing in the hub. If I happen to hear it again I will switch the 4x4 on and see if it does stop. But im almost positive it was the hub,and t was pretty easy to change also. Thanks for all the replys

Scraping in front end
I had a metal scraping noise from the front end of my 08 f150. I have replaced both hubs/bearings, rotors, and pads. Noise is gone from drivers side but is still present on passenger side. It seems to start when accelerating and disappear when I let off the gas. Sounds like brakes but no indication of scraping on the new rotor face. Any ideas?

A hand vacuum pump will help you out, also read over the link 60DRB posted
