yea the knuckles are what give you the lift. of course combined with the bigger shocks or spacer... but the 4wd strut will basicly be the same as a leveling kit on the 2wd. it would be silly to buy a 4wd spindle, because unlike a 2wd it will have a place for the cv to connect to the front axle which you wont have with a 2wd. if you want the lift you might as well but one or just stick with a level. i think the spindles would work off a 4wd, but the strut should bolt in.

Well i have a 2.5 in lift in the front and 1 in in the rear and my kit came with shocks and all hardware and it was only 200. My 2wd is now sitting on 33s. Im sure a spacer is a lot easier and and cheaper then buying the spindle and the strut off a 4wd and trying to make it all work.

Get a body kit. I was like you, had a level kit + AAL, and still wanted just a few more inches. Then purchased a Perf Acc 3" Body Lift, and love it! I had looked into doing the spindle swap, but it really is more headache then what you are going to get out of it. Like ford4wd08 said, the cv will want to go on the 4wd spindle, which we dont have. I havent checked about swapping out spindles from the 4wd to the 2wd knuckle, because it seemed like too much work. If anyone goes that route, post it up.
