Default Front hub help/advice

I am looking for a manual replacement hub for my truck (04 scab). Im done dealing with the vacuum system. I have contacted AVM who made the manual hubs I had in my old ranger. They worked awesome. They are based in brazil and dont have anything for the f150's. They are willing to work on a set (or cross reference a set) but will need to know the system (a little research on there part). Was wondering if Im the only one that hates the vacuum? The ranger was nice because I rarely needed the 4x4 (except winter months or mud trips) and they disengaged the front end without using vacuum. Which meant no more partial engagement or stuck hubs. No longer worried about the hoses and condensation. I believe the ranger used vacuum to hold 4wd in place as opposed to our trucks which use it to hold 2wd in place. Anyone know a reason this theory wouldnt work? Ranger set cost me $125 shipped. Simply snapped into position. Of course I needed special center caps to access the hubs but they were sweet.
