Default Front end popping

My front ends popping (05 4x4 with 168k and a 3" level). It only does it when I turn and not every time I turn, and sometimes when I take off from a dead stop going straight. Sometimes it'll pop going down my driveway when I hit a hill or big enough bump. There's also a slight roar slowing down from 30 mph or so. I know the 3" level doesn't help anything. It didn't start till I was playing around one night and locked it in 4x4. All ball joints, tie rods and cv axles look fine. My buddy seems to think shocks.

Sounds like strut mounts, they will pop over bumps and occasionally clunk when they wear out.

Dumb question but is that anything I should stress over? I been worrying about the popping thinking the front end was gonna fall out from underneath me.

It's not going to fall apart, just cause irregular tire wear and a poor ride, but a new set of struts with mounts will set you back about 280.00+install+alignment.

Heard a lot of people talk good about Monroe. I was either gonna go with them or rancho... Seen some procomps as well. Just saving up so I can get the best quality instead of buying something cheap and wishing I woulda went the nicer route.

I just fixed the same issue with my truck. It was the sway bar links. You should check those out.
