Friends oil hose came off, help!!

Friends oil hose came off, help!!
Well my friend is to lazy to make this sooooooo, here is the story. He just got his front leveled with his back end. He told me like a hour ago that his oil hose snapped and the oil from the engine was smoking. The car still starts up and everything. He also said that their are oil clumps on the dip stick. Hasent drained the oil yet to see if it had any metal scraps. Just want to know if he blew his motor, or is their no way to tell until he drains the oil. Since im a tuner (im use the Mitsu 4G63 engine) i dont really know what to say to him. He has the 5.4L V8 motor.

Clumps of what on the dip stick????
Only oil hose I can think of on a 5.4 is the automatic transmission oil cooler lines and/or the power steering transmission cooler lines to the coolers in the front.
Did this person install an engine oil cooler?
