2004 engine ahudder
I have an 2004 STX, with an 4.6L. Is has a mis fire on cylinder 3. After extensive research, i found its easier to swap the engine vs just the heads.. Now, i have a 2003 ford STX 4.6 L (Motor runs flawless).
Both are Romeo motors.. Everything is the same except the year..
My question to you guys is this, is this a pretty straightforward swap, or do i need to worry about anything.. I have 6 days off work for the holidays, and trying to get this done..
My main concern is the computer plug in, and the manifold.. Any info would be greatly appreciated..

Among other things.. The transmission is slipping, it has fluid, it has 280k.. I'm no master mechanic, I just think swapping the engine and tranny is the most logical thing..

Don’t follow the logic of doing an engine swap over a single cyl misfire (without a whole lot more info/data anyway). But it’s obviously your time, money and truck. Good luck.
