Default Frame Swap Help!!!!

Hey everyone... I own a 2008 4 door, i bought rebuilt title, engine has about 66k. Truck is in great conditions and everything pretty new. Except the frame is bent. I wanted to ask if any of you have swap the frame before and if its a complicated backyard swap? I want to keep the truck and it rides perfect but i dont like the idea of having a bent frame.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'd imagine it won't be an easy process, but it can be done. You're going to need a lift/forklift to get the cab and bed off. Also, while you have the new frame exposed go ahead and give it a new coat of undercoating.

Thank you! Yes i have access to a forklift, Im not worry about the mechanical side of it, i also have the tools. Just wondering who has done it and how long it took and if they got any inputs that would help about. Like painting, thats a great idea thank you!

Try searching for the thread "King Ranch Project". There is a guy basically stripping down the entire truck and has been sharing pics, etc.

I bought it with a rebuilt title and it had just gotten fixed, but the frame has been welded and it cant be straighten anymore. I been driving it for 6 month, it drives great and i like to keep it, engine only has 60k miles, its an 08 and everything else is basically new. So i figured i just swapping the frame would be my best option.

So i bought the frame already, doing the swap this week!! Hope all goes well...

Just have a couple questions, i posted on the king ranch page but just in case he doesn't see it before i start this, here they are:

1- Do i need to remove the seats and carpet to get to the cabin bolts inside, or can i get away with it some other way?
2- Does the radiator need to come off like the manual says to be able to pick up the cab, or is the front end (bumper, radiator, condenser, lights) its just one whole clip that comes off together?
3- It also says "Using the special tool, remove the power steering pump pulley" Do i have to do this, and is the tool a must?

Default Frame Swap Help!!!!

1. I think you can roll the carpet back enough on the sides to reach the bolts.
2. Not sure. I'll let others chime in, but I doubt it's one piece.
3. You'll need the tool, most auto stores will loan it for free as long as you return it of course.
