My thread on the Katzkin Install.

https://www.f150forum.com/f4/katzkin...-today-284669/

My "new" rims. My old rims were just the painted ones. I have always liked the full chrome ones. I found a good set on CL the other night. Met a really nice guy that took great care of his truck. Got the set of wheel with some tires for a great price.

Also on the latest pics you can see I installed my new running boards.

Before

After Subtle change, but just what i wanted.

Just to keep this thread up to date as well. I installed my Wheelskin leather steering wheel cover this last weekend. Man it looks great. Here is my thread on that.

Just installed a Kicker 10" sub with 760W Pioneer amp with a prebuilt box for the super crew.

The box I went with was $65 bucks and is great build quality.

The amp wiring kit was purchased off of ebay. Great kit, wires are the true gauge and not just added insulation.

The sub and amp I got used on CL. $100 for the amp, sub and another box that didn't fit. So all in I am in for about $200.

Fits nicely under the rear seat and sounds great. Takes the bass off of my components. I'm not into the ear bleeding sound just a nice full sound. Works perfect. I will get some pictures up soon. Not much to look at considering all the wiring is hidden. And it looks like a box under the back seat.

I just wanted to provide some alternatives to supercrew sound and spending a lot of money. $200 bucks and about 2 hours to install last night. Took my time and I now have it all adjusted and working awesome. Great cheap upgrade.

Truck is at my body guy right now. I had the start of the dreaded super crew cab corner rust... A bubble on the passenger side, which means its rotten behind. So a repair panel from LMC, which is about 15 min from me and dropped it off at my body guys place last night. IT should be back by Friday.

He is also going to replace my rear bumper and do some minor repair on the bedside where we got hit in a parking lot a few months ago.

After this I have scheduled to go to my shop and have the passenger side exhaust manifold replaced. It started leaking about 6 months ago. Would just leak for the 1st 5 seconds or so upon cold start up then 10 seconds the 15 seconds... Now it do it even after a warm start up. I'm sure the studs and or manifold is busted.

After seeing what you have to do to replace this, I am farming this one out.

One last thing that arrived in the mail today was the Borla catback! Can't wait to get this on. My truck right now has just a flowmaster muffler welded in, previous owner.

Cab corner done! Had a small bubble on the passenger side. As all of these they rust from the inside. Here are some pictures. Cost $300 bucks. Guy did it right cut out the old metal and welded in new. He then drilled a hole and coated the inside with some magic stuff. I will have to ask him again what he used, sorry I forgot.

Nice to have the truck rust free again. I wonder how long it will be until the other side appears.

Next will be the fancy new borla cat back I got, and my mechanic to fix my passenger side exhaust manifold leak... Not looking forward to that. I know I don't want to do that one. I don't have the time or tools. It looks like a real pain!

Looks really sharp man, glad you're happy with the vehicle. I am going to take your advice and look at the emblems on eBay for my truck, if you thought yours were bad you should see how terrible mine are! haha!

question.. not sure if I just missed it or just blind, but the picture of the seat.. did you put that white stitching in there? it really looks great, just a subtle touch but man does it make a difference!

The seats I custom ordered from Katzkin. Price was the same. I didn't stitch those myself.

Oh by the way the borla exhaust on my white truck is by far the best sounding system I have ever heard. Whisper quiet when just cruising around, zero drone on the highway, and amazing deep throaty sound, just perfect. I wonder what it would sound like on the new truck below...
Well one last thing I did to the truck... What do you think?

Sold the white truck to a very nice family that should enjoy it for a long time to come. Found a great deal on this 2011 with 21k miles and a lot of options with the 6.2L engine. Will miss my white truck as it has been nothing but perfect. It will be nice to have one with such low miles now as we now have 3 kiddos.
