hah, thats nothing, theres a s/c version out that goes for 55k. all the price, none of the performance. 1/4 mile in 14.7 seconds, and it puts out 500hp/500tq. or...you can buy a used lightning for 20-25k way faster. just doesnt make sense. Id hate to be a dealer and have to justify those prices.

I drove by one of the dealers in town today. I saw what looked a little like a square Toyota, I looked at my wife and said "what the heck is that". She answers "A mistake" the salesman called it a Flex. I think we are going back to the 70's, with the Pinto. Soon they will neuter the Mustang just like they did in the 70's all to save gas.

i was reading somewhere, i think motor trend a couple months ago about how ford and others are gonna try to phase out V8's and goto direct injected turbo V6's to replace them, and direct injected 4 cyl turbos to replace V6's. They say that they get the same hp out of these motors as there higher displacement extra cylinder counter parts and they get way better gas milealge. But doesnt Tq come from displacement?

I know that those subaru and Evos get crazy hp and tq out of turbo 4cyl, equivalent to a mustang GT, but nothing sounds as mean as a V8 with a nice exhaust system.

ford dropped the v6...they are going to a 4.6,5.4, 4.0 deisel...

and they did have a 4 cyl turbo, it was the svo...

and mitsu is about 20-30 years into r&d on the 4g63/64 and 4b11 that for ford to catch them they would invest more money then they do for any other idea or project...to much and not enough return..

May I ask why you always post pictures 3 wide instead of one atop the other? It makes it so much easier to read when they are stacked.
