Default flowmaster super 40

why don't people like these muffler on the 5.4. I got one on and it sounds great moving around in the yard and sound good when your in it.But the other day i heard it leaving the yard for the first time and it did not sound very good. I dont know if it was because it was not started in 2 days and it was very cold out and my gf did not have time to let it warm up before she left. And we live on a highway so she gave it a fair bit of gas .Just want to know what other people think about them

I've got the original Flow 40 and it sounds mean and aggressive...not for someone that wants a quieter exhaust

its not too quite its has like a fluttery sound but yet again i dont know if it was because the truck was so cold. i will havee to get someone to take it for a shot down the road when it is warmed up.

yours and the pre 04-08 bodystyle trucks i have heard with the flowmaster all have much more of a "cackle" than all of the trucks with the 04-08 style trucks. wonder why? was there a bid difference made? the new trucks have 4 cats on them. Do the older body style trucks have 4 cats? how big of pipe did you use also?
