I then decided to cut off that resonator with the 40 series.....TOO LOUD...sounded like a dump truck.

i say just doing the muffler swap, the 5.4's probably sound really nice with the 40 series muffler. I am sure there are plenty of people on here with more experience with this muffler on the F150's that will chime in.

i have 40 series duals on my 5.4L and it has a good rumble, the guy at the muffler shop talked me down from the super 44 but flowmasters website says that it is louder, if you go to the shop they should let you hear both if you agree to buy one of them

I have the super 40. I love it....will get you some vids if you want. I have some already, but it is louder now.

These were 6 or 7 months ago.

I had the 40 series installed last week-sido-rear exit. Too much cab drone for me. I am having a 50 series (suv) installed today

the only difference between the 40 and the super 44 is that the super 44 is a little bit deeper but other then that its about the same. but what makes the super 44 cool is that its black. lol.
