Flashing CEL
#11
this happens to me each time one of my coil packs takes a ****. starts off by flashing, then eventually you feel the missfire while driving, let it go long enough and the light will stay on. have them run the codes and see what cylinder is missfiring and replace that coil. done it over 12times with mine already!

Yeah that is kind of what I am wondering. If the cheap kind is the route I should go or if I should buy the 50+ dollar ones. Is more expensive better quality?

yep ive changed 12, if not more of them, it happens so often i forgot! and no not all the same ones. its mostly #5 and #8. i changed all 8 at around 48k and since then ive done #5 two more times and #8 three times. at first i was buying them at autozone for $37.17 OTD a peice, then i found on ebay the same ones autozone sells $77 for all 8. so i went that route and have the extras sitting in my tool box waiting for the next one to take a ****! its such a simple job to replace but there is no excuse for them acting up the way they do!

Bro same thing to me. Especially during hard driving. Ran normal as soon as I drove normal.Went and did plugs at 72K. I dont believe in 100k stuf. start with plugs first.it should stop the cel. hold off on coils till then, you gotta do pugs anyway

Thanks alot guys. I will be replacing the plugs on my f150 soon haven't decided if I want to do it or let someone else do it but it will be done soon lol. Plugs only have about 46 k miles on them so they might be easy to do. We will see and I will let you know how it works.
