I have had mine for 14 years. I wont sell it. I bought a new F Series, but cant part with the Flare. But the bumper is rusting away, and I cant find another to replace it with. Guess I'll turn it into a show truck.

There is 4' between the wheel wells. I have picked up plywood, drywall, lattice, as long as you leave the tailgate down it all lays flat and fits good. Tool boxes and tonneau covers are available yes but they are more expensive. Trying to find a tonneau myself without spending a ton of money.

Well to answer the actual question....

As far as I know you have to also get a gas tank with a little longer filler tube. Try to find a scrapped truck that was totaled due to front end damage, but has no bed damage. You can use or rent a trailer to get the parts you need home/to the shop. Other than that, I've never heard of people doing this successfully.

Its almost worth selling your truck right now and just buying a stylized regular cab in similar condition, they're a dime a dozen.
