Default Time for plugs?

slightly rough idle in gear at a stop. noticed it a little more lately.

could it be time for plugs? -or- fuel injector cleaner?

06 screw 5.4 4x4 auto 52,000 mostly highway miles

I have an 07 Screw 5.4 with 52,000 as well and have noticed the same rough idle feel that your describing. I ran some injector cleaner through it and helped just a little bit. I then went out and got some MAF cleaner and cleaned out the whole sensor then did it again just for good measure. Let it air dry for 1 hour then re-installed it. Truck runs smooth as ever! Now I'm throwing the idea around getting a aftermarket sensor anyone have any luck withe these?

I'd go ahead and replace the plugs anyway before the mileage gets any higher. The 3V spark plugs are forged in hell by Satan himself, and the longer you wait to change them, the more trouble they will be. I had to do the plugs in my '06 mustang GT (which has the same spark plug issues), and luckily none of them broke. I just bought my '07 F150 with 24K miles on the odometer and I'm planning to change the plugs ASAP to prevent issues down the road. Speaking of which, what kind of plugs have people been using to prevent future problems? Mustang guys are using mostly brisk and champion plugs (two brands that I'm not crazy about).

Both JET and Granatelli makes aftermarket sensors that "supposedly" allow up to 45% calibrated airflow. Just curious if anyone has used them or heard anything about them.

No....There are pretty easy to follow instructions on the bottle. Hold it up in the air and give it 10 - 15 short blasts of the spray from different angles. Let dry for 15 min and then repeat. Make sure its dry, I used my wifes hairdryer on the cold setting and just blew it out on the low setting to make sure everything was dry. This is what i did, i'll probably put this on my list of upkeep and repeat it every 3500 miles along with my oil change, tire rotate, and balance.
