Getting the ebay projector lights are better than throwing HID's in stock housing. If you want the blueish tint, going that route is just fine. The ebay lights are not nearly as good as a retrofit, BUT they do sell projectors that directly replace the ebay light projectors. So this lets you get HID's quicker on less money, but isn't a total waste of money, as a much better projector kit is offered to directly bolt into Spyder headlights.
6000k is best for some color and maintain light output. 8000k you lose quite a bit of brightness in favor of a lot of blue.

If the headlights have a Ford logo in the lower corner, they're stock. Otherwise, aftermarket. Those look like knockoffs.
Definitely do a proper HID retrofit. Halo's seem to die and cause people alot of grief. On a black truck, I'd either buy ebay black housings and retrofit those, OR, use the ones you have.
Looks like the marker light reflector is damaged on the one, so that would need to get fixed. Once open, you can glue it back on.
Either way, dark housings on a black truck look awesome.

well i ran the banks cai on my truck and it did nothing it was a true cold air induction.it was a fully housed air cleaner with induction from the factory port and a port in front by headlight headlight. i read all the spec sheets on all of them and banks was by far suppose to be the best, it was not. My truck gets better mpg and performance without it, so that being said you can waste your money on a cai or save it for a much more useful mod
