Finally bought a pickup!! What should I do now?
Finally bought a pickup.
What do you guys think I should do? Take bars and tool box out and put in low profile toolbox and access roll up cover over?
What are some necessities to have in the truck with you?
Hitches
tow strap or chain or comealong?

I usually kept a small tool kit, a tow strap, a couple reels of good heavy rope, and waterproof boots in my toolbox. I personally do not like the roll up covers, though. I have a buddy that has one and it rattles like a sum'a'bitch on rougher roads.

I like the bars and the tool box. i think eveything should stay as is... but add a small lift or leveling kit and put some aggressive tread tires on.

In my truck bed tool box I have a mini gas grill, a post ponder, a cable come-along, a recovery strap, rachet straps, jumper cables, grease gun, organizer with bolts and screws, cotter pins, hammer, vice grips, adjustable wrench, my hitch stuff, 7 way to 4 way plug etc... Yes, lots of crap!
I have it in there because for one, I have no garage, and for two, because it is SOOOO handy having that stuff with you all of the time.
