Default Fender flares OEM used or aftermarket new?

I found a set of FX4 fender flares ( so so condition) all tabs, few scuffs that would cost me total $190. Would this be a good way to go? I know there are a bunch of aftermarket that will run me less.. but they use double sided tape.

The other plus for OEM is they are textured while the cheaper aftermarket Ive seen are all smooth. I have a Shadow Grey truck so I figured the textured would stand out more than the smooth.

Another hold up.. with going OEM is the clips, I read on this forum that they only come with the fender flares new, you cant get the clips sold seperatly. Is this true?

Ehh.. I think I might have to skip those OEM's....

I found after doing a google search that you have to drill holes.. I thought it used holes already in the fender... thats pretty hard to do when you cant see where to make holes.

Any particular brand you went with? Ive heard if you go aftermarket then its wise to get the bushwacker edge trim so the gaps are not so bad.

I thought I had seen also some aftermarket that used both hardware and tape to hold to the truck, but I'll have to find those again.

I personally went with ATS ptm and I love them. They attach with hardware and tape.

06Beast : Those look great especially on a grey truck since stock ones can blend a bit.

About me : Well I decided to pull the trigger and got me a set of OEM fender flares, I guess they are the textured sort, the description said matte. I found you DONT have to drill any holes, apparently these things can stay just as well being attached with just the bottom points. So I pulled the trigger and got them for a great deal at 99 + Free Shipping.

OEM fender flares can be installed on our trucks without these outer fender holes. I've done it twice; once on a 2005 STX, and on my current 2007 STX. You only need to drill 20 MM holes in the inner fender well lip, and use 22 MM plastic fastners, purchased from a NAPA or ACE hardware store as shown below:
