Default Fender flares like fx4

My 05 has a few little rust bubbles starting on the fenders, so I'm gonna por-15 them and cover them with flares. The fx4 style are plenty wide to cover and I like how they look. Anyone try the eBay or Amazon ones that look just like the stock fx4 flares? I'm only interested in that style as I can't stand the big bulky looking ones. Thanks

Is there a difference between FX4 or KR or Lariat ect? I thought they were all the same? Am I wrong? Or are you talking about aftermarket flares?

I had the same problem with my 04 so I bought some factory flares at a swap meet and sanded the fenders down then painted them black then threw on the flares.

I think they are the same, but a lot of the time the KR or lariat are painted and I'm just looking for black. I could do like project red did though, looks nice. The reason I asked about the aftermarket ones is because finding stock used ones is difficult.

Ahh I got ya. I can not give you any advice on the aftermarket flares as all my trucks have always had them already on them. I do agree that the big bulky ones are not attractive.

Do you want gloss black or matte? If you want matte then get any flares you like and for a few dollars just PlastiDip them! Its simple, looks good, and if you don't like it or it gets messed up..... just peel off and redo it!

I had those aftermarket ebay flares on my '05. They look the same as the factory flares on my FX4. They attach with double sided tape and screws through the fender lip, unlike the factory flares with push pins.

Yeah, they were alright. The price was right and they fit the body lines well.

Thanks for the pic. Yeah looks fine, I'm not looking for anything special just want to cover. Little rust up.
