I pulled my truck in today to find out the key code, and program a remote, but when he went to do the programming of the remote, the truck did nothing. You know, turn the key on/off 8 times, and the locks go up and down....well we got nothing. Why is this? I would think if it came with the factory keyless entry pad, it would come with the keyless remote too wouldnt it?

yea it should be able to have a keyfob, was the keyfob new? maybe it's junk, did he happen to try another one?

yea he tried a brand new one. The locks on the truck didnt do what they should have.
