Default Factory Car Audio 10 and 16 Pinout

Hello Everyone,

I´ve been looking for ways to connect my Ipod to the Factory Audio unit and found that everyone recommends a Line in adapter that is connected to the back of the unit.

I believe, unless you say the opposite, that a $170 (sell by crutchfield) adapter is too expensive for a line in cable... (yes, i know it is a clean and fancy installation) but is just a line in cable!

My factory unit has an AUX button so my guess is that the 16 pin (perhaps the 10 pin) connector in the back holds the line inputs but i can not find any picture or schematic about the pinout so i can work on my own adapter.

Thanks a lot for your help!

If you're asking for the wiring pin outs for the stock radio, use the search...it's been listed by several of us in the past. You'll find it. It is easier to search for it than to have someone type it yet again.

Thanks Bucko, i searched for the pinouts and indeed found one written by you and describes the 24 and 16 pins, but there is no mention about the Aux input pins. Means that the Aux pins are in the 10 Pin connector? I haven`t found that diagram...
thanks for your help!
