Default F150 Vibrating

Ok guys, help me out here..I have a brand new 2008 f150 fX2 with less than 1000 miles on it. When I bought it, it drove perfect but now that I have put 22" inch wheels on it , it has a horrible vibration that wont stop...I have had the 22"inch wheels changed out twice, the tires twice, and I have had it road force balanced twice...I had one person tell me that after I went to a 22" wheel I would need to get it aligned but I just dont know if thats the case....Any suggestions?????

alignment would not cause a shaking especially because the truck is so new! ask the place where you bought the wheels if they are hub centric or not. if not, they should be able to put in hub centric rings in to make the wheels more true on the vehicle. alot of wheel manufacturers make wheels to fit more than one application to cut down on costs so they might not be hub centric for your truck! if that is the case, there is the cause of that annoying shaking! when does it shake? what speeds?

Are the wheels hub centric? You need hub centric wheels and beveled (acorn style) lug nuts, like the oem setup. If they are not, this is most likely your problem.

What else was done to accomodate the 22" tires and wheels? Am thinking drive line angle. Has that been alterred? It seems alot of guys install these larger tires and wheels, what makes you so lucky or unlucky? I'm not trying to be cute just giving up an idea.

The back was lowered 2 inches with hangers, that was just to level the truck...I dont see where that would make the front end shake...

Vibration up front, thats input that was omitted. These wheels, state the brand of the wheels, maybe there is to much offset for the steering. The guys here have the experience and know how as to what is good and not so good. I can't offer up any info on after market stuff. My opinion would not be appreciated. Good luck and keep us all informed.

ok so you do not need to adjust anything on driveline unless you are doing a ginormous lift (6" or larger) and the offset of the wheels has nothing to do with it vibrating. the only thing that the offset would do it make it rub if it was the wrong offset. most cases an aftermarket wheel isn't going to ride quite as well as a stock wheel because they aren't hub centric like stock wheels are. what kind of wheels are they? what kind of tires?? just seems like you probably just need a good set of hub centric rings!
