Default F150 rearend shaking

Just pulled out from a light making right turn at about 5 mph the back starts a bad shaking. I drive very slow till I can get off road. It stops for half a mile then starts again. It happens in toward and reverse. I can drop it in N and it still happens. Waiting on tow truck to take it home to work one it. A friend said it might be the lock in the diff. Any thoughts.

Check your u joints at the rear. You might need a new one which is easy

The u joint was a little stiff so I replaced it. My issue is I have a 2 section shaft. Looked like the shaft slid back and the bearing slid out of the rubber support. I slid it back and all looks good for now. What's to keep this from happening again.

The rubber support was originally molded around the bearing. Yours is worn out and needs to be replaced. The bearing will just keep sliding out.
