okay, now I've only owned my '04 F150 Lariat for a day... (not even 24hrs yet ) but the one that I picked up has a problem with feeling a slight bump when accelerating from a stop. I'm not sure if this is what you problem is. But if it is, from what I was reading in other posts is that the truck has a slip yoke. apparently you can grease the driveshaft using a teflon grease to temporarily rid yourself of this problem or replace the driveshaft completely.

I had the same problem... did the re-grease and it came back within a month. Replaced the driveshaft, no more (clunk) when I take off or slow down

bones, if you dont mind, where did you get the new drive shaft from? I think I'm gonna take that route, also.

Thank you for your answers, i would appreciate if you can post me a driveshaft image, because here in Mexico they don't know how to translate "driveshaft" in spanish, the only thing i can do is showing the image.
Thank you all of you.

the driveshaft is the long silver tube that connects the transmission and the rear axle.

I put grease on the driveshaft, just like you said, to know if the problem was that. Finally, the bump doesn't feel anymore.
I made this (the grease) meanwhile i change the complete driveshaft. Thank you for all your help.
