I recently had my truck diagnosed to discover the a/c-heat blower motor had finally died and required replacement.

After an estimate of $499 to replace the unit or $155.00 to purchase the part I thought I would look around for other options.

Does anyone have suggestions where to find the part better priced and online instructions for the removal and replacement.

I am fairly efficient in mechanics as I used to be a helicopter mechanic, but of course that was mostly done following manuals...lol

I appreciate advice in advance...

try finding a chiltons book. haynes may also work but, IMO, chiltons is better

Ended up picking up the Chilton book, had to buy two blower motors because the parts house couldn't cross reference the Ford part number so didn't know which one it was....

Took me all of 20 minutes to pull out the old and install the new one. Returned the unused fan and am now enjoying the pleasure of A/C in Florida.
