Thanks! It's being delivered today!

I hope your problem has been solved. Bad FPDM or another issue?
Curious what caused the issue...

I did replace the FPDM. Alas, no go on the FPDM. It sounded like it would start a couple times and even started for a split second. So, the fuel pump was ordered last week. Got it in yesterday and replaced that yesterday. Unfortunately all of the retainer clips broke. I got the replacements except one. I'm going to put that on this morning and test it once again. I'll post the results. And thanks for checking back!

Replaced the retainer clip earlier. After a couple turns she fired up. So, this one was the fuel pump. Thanks everyone for your help!

Glad you're running again. For what it's worth, proactively replacing the fpdm is a good thing. It WAS going to stop working at some point. Usually the at most inconvenient time.

Concerning the FPDM...Does this happen only in certain areas (cold climates) etc & how would I know if mine is original or has been replaced? Trying to do a lot of preventative maintenance before issues arise. Thanks!

BTW the truck came from Vegas and I bought it used in So California. Some guy was on reddit doing a FORD VIN check and my truck has never been serviced other than recalls

I would think cold climates, moisture and other components would have an effect on amount of moisture it is around. For me, I bought my truck used from Texas bringing it back to Oklahoma. I'm finding the parts I've replaced have been a good thing and from the looks of it, way overdue. Mine had looked like it only started corroding but I replaced it anyway. Depending on where it's mounted on your truck the newer FPDM provide you with a method to mount it a bit higher off the metal. It's said with a wiring diagram you can test the FPDM. Other than that you could pull the numbers from the back of the module to possibly track down helpful information. Hope that helps.

Mine had 150K when the FPDM died... Well, we have winters with salt and moisture but it was the original FPDM and did the job for 10 years.
Because it's a low cost maintainance i'd change it first if i bought a new (to me) truck.
No experience with southern US climates here
