Default Extended warranty

Wondering if any of you have purchased an extended warranty and what your thoughts of it are. Which is the best?

Yes, I did. 84/100k Premium

Go to Fordwarrantys.com. You can look at all the options and prices. If you have questions, they are great people to work with.

Got one with 2 yr/24K power train coverage. Paid off recently, got valve work, cam phasers etc. $1800 worth of work. I paid $100 deduct. and $300 for the coverage. The piece of mind is priceless.

I am considering getting the 2yr / 24k mile (or the 3/36) for my 04 with 80k miles. The cost of the phasers alone (finding out this week what their state is and if I might have issues *soon*) would be worth getting the warranty alone!

yep - got a 5yr, 100K ESP plan on my 06 and it paid for itself when my IWE's had to be replaced. Very pleased - still have 20K+ miles of protecton left.

If you're saying Lombard Ford (fordwarrantys.com) can't sell you a warranty in Canada, then sorry, I don't know of a dealer in Canada.

I do not like them but if they let you sleep at night than I can see how it can be worth it.

My general feeling is that they would not sell you something that they lose money on.
