Extended cranking when warm....
(2004 F150 Lariat, 5.4, 4x4, 206,000km)
I just changed out the plugs (and got them all, without issue thankfully, did 'em cold, no sprays and using 1/2" impact wrench. Front 6 took about 2 hours-the 2 by the firewall tool about 5 ) and recently replaced the FPDM. The truck seems to start fine when cold but often requires more than a "normal" amount of cranking to jump to life when it is warm. Fuel filter was replaced about 1.5 years ago. MAF sensor was cleaned about 6 months ago as well. It isn't throwing a code for anything either. I have a Predator and am using a mild 89 octane tune but the problem is the same with the tune or not.
Any suggestions? Weak fuel pump maybe? New injectors needed? I know that one or both manifolds need replacing as the noise from the passenger side is getting annoying. Not sure if this may be impacting the O2 sensor(s).
Thx,
J
