Exhaust? What is the difference?
I'm in the market for a low-toned, throaty sounding exhaust. I've read on here that magnaflow and flowmaster is a debated issue. I found a couple things on ebay but I don't know what the difference is between the two. Any explanation would be appreciated.

I realize that the material is different, but will it affect the performance or sound after it is installed. There is also the same relation between two flowmaster systems that I don't know what the difference is. Thanks.

The difference between Flowmaster and Magnaflow is basic design differences.
Pics below are magnaflow on top and the flowmaster on the bottom
Magnaflow have a free-flowing design to them and the Flowmaster's have the baffles for each series that give them their specific sound..

The cheaper system is not a true Magnaflow system like the top one is. The cheaper one is made out of galvanized or aluminized metal and not full stainless like the more expensive one is. The only thing stainless in the cheaper one is the actual muffler. The more expensive one is designed to be bolted in and does not require welding like the other does. I would go with the true system because it will last forever and does not require any welding.
