Default Exhaust questions please help

I have and 04 FS4 F150 w/ a 5.4 and it has a flowmaster muffler, single in dual out that is dumped right before my rear axle and am lookin for something louder, Im a young guy (only 19) and don't mind the noise level, just lookin for it to sound badass and pretty mean. I was wondering if straight pipeing the back two cats on the truck is a reasonable idea? Since they are after the O2 sensors I don't think it will mess w/ the check engine light. But does anybody know if that would be a really bad idea or have any better ones? Thanks for your help.

I personally think it would sound pretty bad without any mufflers. There's a few Dodges in my area with out mufflers and the sound like crap. I myself will be going with the Magnaflow soon. Someone with muffler knowlede will give you some suggestion. Have you tried the search option yet?

Ya and there's a ton of topics. Personally I don't think most people would run it w/o cat's because of the noise level but like I said I dont care lol

Take the cats off, run true duals with an x pipe and magnaflow mufflers. Good sound, good mufflers good performance.

Not too sure about the sound, But I also wanted that same set-up where the exhaust exits out both sides before the rear tires and the place said I cannot get that done due to the placement of the gas tank. Aparently it impeeds where the drivers side would exit.

Hope that helps.

Ya I see what you mean bout the gas tank position. But what would I do with the 4 O2 sensors that are in the exhaust.

Nevermind, I talked to a service guy at the Ford dealer and he said that the back to "cats" are actually resonaters and I can take them off w/o voiding my factory warranty, they are there just to reduce sound, he said all i gotta have is the two cats and a muffler so that just changed everything lol
