Arrow exhaust pops on my '05

Every time I type "exhaust" into the search I can only find aftermarket questions. So here goes...

I bumped the gas pedal while getting into my truck yesterday and it revved up kinda high and let out a few exhaust pops. I remember experiencing this on my old '76 but didn't expect it from my 2005. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I might be wrong, but I thought deceleration pops were caused by unused fuel detonating in the exhaust. Do you still have your cats?

I think so. I bought the truck last month and I'm pretty sure it's bone stock.

Did you pull your foot off the accelerator causing a sudden deceleration?

Yes, I quickly pulled my foot off the gas. It was revved pretty high. Is it causing any damage? Is my gas mileage suffering from it? Like I said I've only had it for a month now and I don't know much of the history other than the Carfax.
