28" Cherry Bomb Glasspack "muffler replacement" dumped in front of the axle. I've heard a lot of people dog the glasspacks but I personally think it sounds great. It has a nice deep rumble but you definitely know it's there when you get on it. You have the pop at first but it goes away when warm for the first few weeks then goes away all together. Had this setup on my last two F-150s. All in, $75!

Put it on this wkend. It is exactly what i was going for and what OP is seemingly looking for. Nice rumble when started and WOT. Cant even really hear it when cruising city or highway. No drone. U can make it heard if you want to with some gas. Fits oem exhaust hangers/setup.

For a stainless SI/SO at $380 seems to be good quality (comes with lifetime guarranty on sst, 3 years if u go aluminum) without breaking the bank

I Have MBRP true free flow, no cats no mufflers right now, and i love how it sounds... But I also have neighbors... I have to go in to work at 4:30-5:00 AM some days and I really hate making them hear the thing on a cold start-up (It's obnoxiously loud on a cold start)... But I also am getting 20-25 mpg highway with the straight pipes so I was wondering if cutting in a glasspack would bring the noise down at all without sacrificing power or fuel economy... Any thoughts?

Well pulled the trigger on the new exhaust today. 3" SI/SO magnaflow. Absolutely love the sound.

I like the Borla systems a lot as well. I had a 4.6 liter with a Borla system; the sound, in my opinion, was damn near perfect - a good, deep rumble when on the gas, but not excessive. I now have a 5.4 liter and went with a single in dual out Magnaflow system. It sounds good and all, but I find the drone to be quite annoying. I'm considering going back to a Borla system. A buddy of mine has one on his 5.4 and drone is pretty much nonexistent with it.

It's a full kit. I'll have to chase down the receipt in the morning for part #'s

Chased down my receipt. No part # for pipe but it is 3" pipe with muffler part# 12289 and a 4" single rolled magnaflow tip part#35117
