Exhaust manifold gasket
So there I was driving 2 hours to a bar to go meet some chicks I've been talking to for a while and about half way there, I was on a pretty bumpy road and it would appear that part of my exhaust manifold gasket went out. I could hear the air escaping out of one of the cylinders. So I pulled her over in the fear it was something catastrophic. Does this sound like that is indeed what it is. I could smell pure fuel and exhaust in the cab and on the outside. How much have you guys had this done for at a shop and is it even worth trying to do it myself. Thanks brothers -xMUDKINGx

A leak at the exhaust manifold typically results in a ticking. Much like a stuck lifter sound. Mines been leaking for 2 years and never experienced an air leak sound or fuel smell. Sounds like you may have something else going on.

It probably spit out a spark plug.

agree... check your plugs an exhaust leak will not smell like raw gas.
