Default Superchip flashpaq 1865

Anyone familiar with this unit. Superchip flashpaq 1865. I want to get one for a 2006 F150 with 5.4 and 373 gears AOD. The price range is around 300, or is there a better one for the money, don't want to go overboard but don't want waste my money either

Hi and Good Morning!

Wellsir, while that unit is perfectly adequate, for just a little more, you can get an Excellent SCT flash programmer - complete with 3 to 5 custom tunes specifically for yer truck's PCM strategy code, from one of these folks:

www.vmptuning.com
www.morepowertuning.com
www.5startuning.com
www.gopowerhungry.com
www.troyerperformance.com

Flexible, future-proof and able to compensate and be tuned for any mod you ever plan to add to yer truck. And the tuning is far more effective than any canned device.

Give 'em a call / email to discuss yer needs and goals - all great folks.

BTW - the new SCT X4 is soon to be released - if you can wait a couple weeks pre-order one of those. The shiznit. Contact the vendor(s) of choice for details.

Avoid Edge products like CS/CTS - they cannot be custom-tuned. An EVO can, though (Model 15051). If you buy it direct from PHP, the tuning is half-price. Just an alternative to consider for completeness. But, I still recommend SCT due to the number of dealers and support network. And SCT's end-user tools are terrific.

Good luck!

I have an 1865 installed on my 08. GOTTS intake, and Catback MBRP SIDO. but haven't done any real driving so don't know performance. Mine is set on 87 Octane for now but I will play with it as time goes on
