I just bought my truck on Wednesday ('07 F150 Lariat) getting a lil impatient and wanting to get some exhaust. I want that 5.4L to have a roar just not that douchebag roar that wakes up the neighbourhood. Have been thinking about FlowMaster Series 40? Any ideas and sound clips?

Everyone has different taste, but I personally like the sound of a magnaflow on our trucks. I have a magnaflow 14 SI/SO turned down before the rear axle and I think is sounds great. Not loud at idle but WOT it comes to life.

Youtube Magnaflow F150 there are some great sounding trucks on there.

Flow master 40s aren't bad or anything but the sound is ganna be that generic drone every truck seems to have. You can just type such and such f150 exhaust on YouTube and find sound clips for whatever exhaust you could want

I have VX exhaust on my 2008 4.6 and it's loud dumped right before the axle as well going to dual it out soon but after hearing the magnapacks I may change it up this time

I have the VX exhaust on my 04 4.6 as well. It runs to the stock exhaust pipe behind the wheel. Perfect sound I was looking for and not obnoxious. Makes a decent sound when you get on it but a nice tone when cruising

Running a flowmaster 40 series on my 06 4.6l and I love it. Thinking about changing over to a super 10 though.

they do, I had the 40's on mine BUT they weren't loud enough. cut them out, no mufflers now. Just staright dueal 2.5 inches to 4 inch tips. love the roar now! and yes I am that guy that like pissing off the neighbors! lol
