Get on YouTube and type in "(year) f150 (engine) exhaust" there will be plenty to look through. At the end of the day you should go with whatever sounds the best because, in terms of horsepower gains, the sound will be the most important! You aren't going to see anything huge except a slight drop in MPGs because if you enjoy the sound, you're going to be on the gas a little more.

Thanks for the advise. With adding a programmer, which one would be best to use. I'm sure that's been a big subject. What brand of programmer? I will be getting custom tuning too. Is edge the only one that offers gauges with its programmers?

Any SCT tuner will work and is generally considered to be the best brand for Ford trucks. I have one and love it. If you want custom tunes, go through either 5* tuning or MPT.
Edit: Heres the link to the SCT group buy https://www.f150forum.com/f53/group-...can-do-148145/

Does SCT tuners have gauges like edge? Also are they transmission safe? I've heard that some tuners are hard on transmissions

Washington state. It's still America here! State law takes precedence over federal. That's why we get to smoke pot 2!

Also, if I go true duals would x pipe be better than h pipe? Hope someone can shed some light on the power gains
Just something to look at, and they won't rust away. 2004-2008 Ford F-150 V8 Cat Back Exhaust Kit – Legato Performance
