Does any body have this Flowmaster exhaust system with the 50 series muffler? If so how do you like it?

the 50 series is a SUV type exhaust. it is quite a bit quieter than the 40 or 44 series. the performance is about equal though from what my exhaust guy told me. I put the 40 on my fx2 5.4 and am very happy with it, I plan on putting the 50 on my wifes 08' expedition.

im going to do the same setup soon with 40 series at a local muffler shop. You could save yourself about 200$ if you went local.

Don't buy the kit, go to a local muffler shop and just tell them what muffler and tip you want and save yourself a fortune.

Kinda along the same lines as what everyone else is saying, however once you've decided on which muffler you wanna buy look it up on EBAY or go under google, type it in and click the shopping search. I've found the Super 40 series Flow Master muffler that I like for 80$. Then take it to your local muffler shop. I'm going to cut my stock muffler out, put in the Super 40 and then just put a down-ward turn on the exhaust. This way the sound dumps out right before the rear axle, with the sound boucing off the ground, making it LOUD....

2.5" and offset both sides is what worked for me when I had a muffler. Straight pipe is much better IMO.

Go to http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/

Here is where you can find everything. Click on mufflers and you can listen to all the different mufflers they have. i like the loudest, which is the super 40 series, but now there's even a better one. The Supper 44 series.

I believe the stock exhaust piping is 3". If ou buy he muffler and tell the muffler shop what you want they'll make it happen. Their the experts. Here is what muffler I'm gong to purchase here soon.

3" in offset with two 2.5" outlets. You could have thm come out the back but if you want it loud, do a quick doward turn towards the ground.

The muffler on the Flowmaster web-site is 104$ but I've seen them on EBAY for as low as 60$.
