Default Exhaust Help

Hello all. Quick question. I plan on redoing my exhaust soon. I have a SISO magnaflow now, and I want to go with a dynomax bullet with a y pipe to duals. The magnaflow appears to be 3" inlet/outlet and steps the stock exhaust up to that. My question is, should I do a 3" midpipe with the bullet and out to 2.5" duals, or should I go with 2.5" midpipe and then out to duals? I'll attach some pics of the current setup. Comes down to which bullet to order. 3" inlet and outlet or 2.5"??

oem/factory exhaust size is 2.75 so it is really what you pick
step it up to 3 then out
step it down to 2 1/2 then out
i found this all out when i did a muffler si/so replacement and a tip, had i known i would have gone with the 3 myself instead of the 2 1/2 that flowmaster spec's

I used my caliper to check it out o.d is 2.75, at least that is what mine is from factory, I would not think they would have multiple tubing sizes from factory

Which area did you check every source I have found says 2.5". I know this is factory in the picture. Not sure why the pipe has dents in it.

Before and after muffler and tail pipe, mine very well could be different best thing to do is grab a caliper if you have access to one and check it out
