Angry exhaust disappointment

just had a catback system put on. so darn loud it vibrates the floor
of the cab! can hardly stand to ride in it with the windows up.
guess I
just got to dang old for this stuff. ya think? needless to say, it's going back for at least a different muffler. shoulda left well enough alone. nah

check how it was mounted to the truck, and make sure there are no direct connections without some sort of bushing in between.

So what catback did you put on? Heck my AF1 is louder than my Roush SIDO catback. No drone or loud vibrations just nice mellow sounds.

Default exhaust disapointment

it's a custom exhaust with a clone one in, two out muffler. with what we used to call "echo cans" for tips. will be going back friday for muffler change and hopefully, smaller diameter tips. I specified stock diameter pipe to try and not lose too much bottom end torque but noticed a drop in that as well.
I feel like I killed my beautiful red truck. don't even want to drive the thing as it is. but, it will be fixed, even if I have to go all the way back to stock. hmmm, did see that the credit union has one of those bitchin dodge charger wagons at a very good price. nahhh this uns paid for.

on my old 85 f 150 4x4 i put on a duel exhaust system and big daddy sweet talker mufflers.no word of a lie you couldnt here or feel it in the cab,but if you were out side or in back that thing sounded like you had somthing crazy under the hood.i have been to several different muffler shops and they dont sell big daddy any more.if you go to a muffler shop and tell them what you are looking for,and be exact on what you want they can make it happen.

the big daddy glass pack... man i had a set of them on an old 68 chevy truck with a 550 hp 396 in it... those sounded good... there are glass packs out there that are equivalant to them... there is a purple something out there and a couple more. I think the purple one has a nasty name to it...
