Exhaust with Cold Air and DiabloSport
#11
It is also good to have the exhaust exit as far back from the cab as possible. While at first hearing the exhaust in the cab is cool, after a while that drone will drive you and your passengers nuts. You will still hear it, but the pulses wont be as noxious on the ears. I used to have a 1979 LTD Wagon that I put straight pipes and glass pack torpedoes on, they exited in front of the rear axle. They sounded great, until I took the car on a long highway trip. My ears were numb by the time I got to where I was going. Got tome tail pipes made to exit out the sides behind the rear wheels, and while I could still enjoy the thrum, the noise was not as loud and I was able to enjoy long drives once again without my ears bleeding.
